Inside BandLab’s 312 Creators event – A day of music and community in Chicago

At the heart of every thriving music scene lies creativity, collaboration, and connection, and that’s what we experienced at BandLab’s first 312 Creators meetup! Held on Saturday, October 25 at Drip Collective in the West Loop, this daytime community event brought together Chicago’s local musicians, artists, and creators for an afternoon of shared inspiration.

Hosted by SOLOCELO, a respected BandLab creator and staple of Chicago’s music scene, the event centered around exchanging ideas, building new connections, and having great conversations over coffee and bites. Everyone who came even scored exclusive BandLab merch packs made just for the 312 Creators community.

What went down: 312 Creators event highlights

One of the biggest moments of the day was the Pass the Aux session, where BandLab creators shared their music live with the room. Performers like Nightwalker, Chill Sesh Music, and more showed off the range of talent shaping Chicago’s creative scene.

“It would be so cool if we could do Pass the Aux all the time and even pre-book a time slot and invite our friends. Like a rap open mic!”

Creators also added their mark to the Creators In The Room polaroid wall, filling it with photos and BandLab tags. The collage celebrated the diversity of the community, from beat makers and vocalists to drummers and producers.

DJ Strategy kept everyone grooving with a lively vinyl set that carried the event and kept the atmosphere buzzing!
