This feature comes free for three days with a BandLab Membership trial. Following the trial, it will be priced at $12.46 per month for the annual plan or $14.95 for the monthly plan.
2. What is included in a BandLab Membership?
A BandLab Membership goes beyond just Distribution. It also grants you access to unlimited Opportunities to score gigs, record deals, magazine placements, and more. Additionally, you’ll get unlimited Fan Reach campaigns to connect with your supporters, and Profile Boost to spotlight your profile to the BandLab community.
3. Can I try BandLab Distribution for free?
Of course. You can explore it at no cost through our BandLab Membership trial, which provides you with access to a full suite of artist-centric features for three days. Within this timeframe, you can distribute your music to prominent global platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and more. Plus, access unlimited Opportunities, Fan Reach, and Profile Boost – all aimed at helping you reach your music goals.
4. Can I earn royalties with BandLab Distribution?
Absolutely! With BandLab Distribution, you can effortlessly distribute your music to leading streaming platforms, and retain 100% of the royalties from each stream as long as your Membership remains active. Even if you choose not to renew Membership after your tracks are already live, you’ll still receive 80% of the earnings.
5. How long does it take for me to get paid?
The timing of your royalty payouts is determined by the streaming platform hosting your music, to which we have no control over. In many cases, earnings are disbursed during the latter half of the subsequent month. This means that earnings generated in January are paid out in the latter part of February. It’s worth noting that starting in 2024, Spotify will only pay royalties to artists once their tracks accumulate 1,000 plays per year.
6. How long will it take for my release to go live?
BandLab’s internal review process for each track is typically completed within an industry-leading timeframe of two business days. Once your track is approved by our team, the time it takes to be released on various stores can differ. For instance, Spotify usually takes about 24 to 48 hours to upload your track if there are no quality control (QC) issues. Most other stores take approximately 3 to 5 days, while social platforms like Facebook may require 1 to 2 weeks.
7. What percentage of royalties does BandLab take?
With Distribution, you retain 100% of your royalties as long as your Membership is active. Even if your Membership lapses, your track will stay live, and you’ll still receive 80% of the earnings.
8. Can I opt for either monthly and yearly payments for Membership?
Yes, you have the flexibility to choose between monthly and yearly payments depending on your budget and preference. The monthly plan is priced at just $14.95. However, the annual plan affords you overall savings of 16%.
9. How many artists can access Distribution under one Membership?
A BandLab Membership is linked to a single BandLab account, and there are no restrictions on the number of artists who can utilize it. For example, users can distribute tracks under multiple artist names.
10. What happens to my releases if I cancel my Membership?
Your releases will remain active, so you can keep racking up streams. However, there will be a change in the royalty structure: your account will transition to an 80/20 royalty-split plan, where you receive 80% of total royalties.
11. On which platforms will my music be available?
