How to use Loops

If you’re a budding songwriter or beatmaker you should be checking out our latest Loop packs for creating your next song. Think of them like, ‘a backing track for your tunes’ or ‘the missing member of your virtual band’.

Check out this week’s featured Loop packs. As well as containing 50-100 samples each, our audio design team custom create a track using just the loop pack sounds to show you what is possible.

New to Loops? Here’s a quick-fire Q&A.

What’s a loop pack?

Loops are short snippets of sounds that can act as a beat or a background sound for your song. They’re made in house by our sound team, read up on it here.

What kinds of beats and sounds can I find?

What kind of music do you want to make? We’ve got guitar, hip hop, and dance essentials, and they can be found alongside packs like trap, dubstep, ambient, industrial… the list goes on (and on).

How do I use them?

It’s easy. First, log in and head to our Mix Editor. When you hit ‘Create’ and then ‘New Project’, a window pops up with some choices for your first track. If you look to the bottom right, you’ll see ‘browse loops’. Open that and you’ll see the packs down the right hand side, which you can open and drag and drop into the mix editor.

With over 2000 sounds to choose from on BandLab, get creating!
