Introducing BandLab Sounds: Royalty-free samples, unlimited and free

Introducing BandLab Sounds

Five years ago we dropped the very first library of Loops on our Mix Editor. This ever-growing sample library has swelled to more than 10,000 Loops. This year, we’ve seen over 20 million Loops used on our Mix Editor and 17 million Looper packs downloaded on mobile devices.

The next step? Making these royalty-free samples available to every creator, as a means to create great music and build sustainable careers.

Introducing BandLab Sounds - royalty free loops and samples

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce the launch of BandLab Sounds.

BandLab Sounds gives you unlimited access to our extensive library of professionally-created samples, all for free.

Breaking down barriers, one sound at a time

Since day one we’ve always been about breaking down the barriers and empowering artists to create music. Anyone should be able to have access to the creative tools they need to make great music.

That’s why every sample is royalty-free, unlimited and completely free to use. There are no monthly subscription fees, no caps on downloads or restrictions on quality.

Sounds are truly do-whatever-you-want samples, whether for personal or commercial use, and you own 100% of the music you’ve made with these samples. You don’t even have to credit us.

There are, of course, certain limitations, which you can find out more in our FAQ here.

Professionally created samples, free for all

Every sample, every Loop Pack, is created by artists and professional sound designers. We have also collaborated with world-renowned producers and artists like Tasha Catour and McCoy Mrubata to create exclusive Loop Packs on BandLab. There is something for every creator –  from a myriad of hip hop subgenres to ambient textures to K-pop sounds.

Using BandLab Sounds couldn’t be easier. Every sample and pack is tagged by mood, genre, instrument and BPM so you can easily find the right sound for your music.

Once you’ve chosen a sound, download it, and you are free to use it on BandLab or on any major DAW. All samples are uncompressed (.wav).
