Your BandLab profile is the place you express yourself and an opportunity to show your listeners and fans who you are. A well-polished profile page goes a long way, and having a complete profile also gives you access to some of our less obvious features. Read on to unlock your full BandLab profile potential.
First impressions first
They say a picture speaks a thousand words. We say it could be worth a thousand song plays. Select a photo of yourself, or an image that accurately reflects your creative persona.
Use a sharp, high-resolution photo. BandLab allows you to upload up to a 10MB, 4096 x 4096 pixel image, so there’s no excuse for a pixelated blurry image!
Write the perfect bio
Share your story with the world. What do play? What kind of music do you love? What are your influences? How would you describe your sound? Keep it straight to the point – you’ve only got 250 characters to tell your story (that’s less than a tweet)!
Your talents
Beatmakers, guitarists, vocalists, make yourself known! BandLab makes it easy to find musicians based on their talents, so who knows – your collaboration on BandLab might be your next big hit.
Select from the list of talents provided. Can’t find your instrument? Play the saxophone? Select others, and remember to tell everyone in your bio.

At BandLab, we’ve developed smart features that are tailored to your musical preferences. If you ever find yourself needing some inspiration, the playlists on the “Let’s Make Music” page are based on the favourite genres you selected on your profile page. So don’t miss out on these playlists!
Activate Tip Jar
Your fans who appreciate your music and creative process can support you directly on BandLab. Activating your Tip Jar lets you receive voluntary payments through our third party payment provider, Stripe. We don’t take a cut out of any money you make via Tip Jar. How to edit your profile
When you sign up for BandLab, you’ll be prompted to fill in your profile page. Of course, you can come back later and edit it. Here’s how:
On web:
1. Click on your profile image on the top right of the screen.
2. Click “View Profile”
3. Click “Update Profile”
On mobile:
1. Tap on the music folder tab in the bottom right corner.
2. Tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.
3. Tap “Edit Profile”
