Introducing: Mastering on mobile

We want you to sound your best. Always. Anywhere. Everywhere. So we’re bringing you mastering for mobile!

Two years ago we launched our Mastering service on BandLab and now, after nearly a million mastered revisions, we’re super excited to be giving you the ability to master no matter where you are – at the touch of a button!

Available on both iOS and Android, you can now crank out unlimited professional sounding tracks just using your phone. And don’t worry – it’s still completely free. No hidden charges or freemium plans. And we don’t take any credits on your production.

Our new mobile Mastering feature works the same as the web tool. You have access to the same settings, so you can achieve the same high quality, authentic mastered output you get on the web service.

The three settings designed by our professional engineers are:

CD-quality CD QUALITY: Incredibly versatile setting, boost the overall volume and polish of the track.

Bass-boosterBASS BOOST: Built for tracks that pack a punch in the bass! A great fit for EDM & rap tracks.

enhance-clarity-5ENHANCE CLARITY: Add audio brightness and pop-sensibilities, let each layer stand alone.

Seamless integration

Mastering on mobile is built into our Mix Editor and we designed it to fit in intuitively to your workflow. There are three ways to master a track on your mobile device.

Master your finished work

  1. Once you’re done your work on the Mix Editor, you can either save or publish your work by tapping the cloud icon in the top right corner of the screen
  2. Tap on Mastering under additional settings
  3. Choose between three mastering settings. Tap on each setting to preview your track with the applied setting. When you’ve chosen the setting, tap Done
  4. Tap Save to save a private Revision or Publish.

Import a track

To master a track you have on your mobile device:

  1. Tap the + icon to start a new track
  2. Swipe to bottom of the screen and under Tools, select Mastering
  3. Tap on Import Your Track. You can upload an audio track or video in most major formats like mp3, mp4, wav, aac, ogg
  4. Choose between three mastering settings. Tap on each setting to preview your track with the applied setting. When you’ve chosen the setting, tap Done.

Master existing BandLab Revisions

You can also master the tracks you already have on BandLab.

  1. Select a Project at the Projects tab
  2. Select the Revision you want to master. Tap View Details
  3. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. Select Edit Mastering
  4. Choose between three mastering settings. Tap on each setting to preview your track with the applied setting. When you’ve chosen the setting, tap Done.

Download your mastered tracks

You can download your finished work as a high-quality version for distribution to other services, or share on other social platforms.
