MIDI loops: hip-hop, trap, EDM, arpeggiators and melodies

Whether you’re looking for fresh Hip-Hop loops for your next track, or you need some inspiration for your next big Trap hit, MIDI loops are a great place to start, whatever level of production you are at.

Unlike audio loops which you might be used to, MIDI loops give you full access to edit every single note that’s been played in, offering the opportunity to make sounds your own and the creative freedom to express yourself, even if you aren’t able to play an instrument to a high standard. Learn more about MIDI in a previous blogpost here.

Drop in a loop from the Hip Hop MIDI Pack. Dropping it into a new track will set the MIDI notes to be played by the instrument originally intended by our sound team…

In the Hip-Hop MIDI Pack, you will find a variety of sounds including a mixture of classic beats and bass sounds, all of which are fully editable in the piano roll.

Remove, edit or extend individual notes, or move groups of notes around to make the sequence your own….

Don’t like the instrument the sequence is being played on? Change it easily and trial different instruments sounds to find out which you prefer…

Want the group of notes to be played in a different key or octave? Simply select the group of notes and drag them to the note position you prefer.

There are already hundreds of awesome free MIDI loops on the platform for you to play around with, including:

  • EDM Express MIDI Pack – beats and melodies for the dancefloor.
  • Hip Hop MIDI Pack – laid back beats for your creations.
  • Trap MIDI Essentials – rapid-fire hi hats and beats.
  • Macro Melodies MIDI Pack – catchy melodies for your next song.
  • Arpeggiator MIDI Pack – arp sequences to weave your tracks with.

Hit Create, Let’s Make Music then Browse Loops to find our full library of over 5000 loops. You can find all of the MIDI packs above in loop packs, or you can select All Loops, then MIDI to see the full list…

Happy Looping!
