BandLab Update: Communities, Explore 2.0, iPhone X Support

TL;DR: Introducing Communities! Join a Community on BandLab. Find musicians to make music with, engage with other users, or discover new music on the brand new Explore page. The BandLab iOS app now has iPhone X support and a new Get Started screen with featured tracks and quicker access to the Tuner, QR Scanner and Audiostretch!

Communities on BandLab

BandLab takes social to a whole new level with Communities. Wanna share your love for a music genre? Looking for like-minded musicians or beatmakers to collab with? You can now join communities around mutual love and passion; musicians and fans sharing their favourite tunes, photos, videos, or just waxing lyrical in musical debates. Join a Community of lit beatmakers who stay wokeelectronic music lovers, blues heads, or just go ahead and create your own.  Communities can be public, private or closed – there’s a little something for everyone.

Now available on bandlab.com, and coming soon to iOS and Android apps.


Explore BandLab 2.0

The all-new Explore page lets you discover the best Collections, Communities, musicians and music on BandLab. Listen to music from our curated picks, find musicians to collaborate with, or get improvising with the incredible mixtapes put together by users all over the globe in their Collections. There’ll be more improvements to the new Explore page in due time, so watch this space. We definitely love sharing and broadcasting all your amazing work on BandLab, so hit us up if you want us to feature your music or collections.


iPhone X Support

BandLab is ready for your new iPhone X! All screens are optimised and experience BandLab in its full glory on the magnificent edge-to-edge display. To run BandLab without a hitch, remember to update the app on your mobile devices.


Inspiration on the go

Check out the brand new screen when you start a new project on the iOS app. Struggling for inspiration? Pick one of the Recommended tracks and get instant access to the stems – you can edit, move, cut, reuse them any way you like. Tap the play icon to preview a demo, then tap on the selected track to open the stems in the Mix Editor. Useful tools like the Tuner, QR Scanner and Audiostretch are now just a touch away for quicker, easier access.
